A split rail wood fence surrounds portions of a natural forested area preserve outside Littlerock, WA known as the Mima (MY-Muh) Mounds. The image is finished in hues of yellow and green.

The mounds are mysterious because no one knows how they were formed. They are uniform in shape, and are about four thousand of the hills on the 445 acres of the preserve. You can see some mounds behind the wooden fence where forest trees have grown.
