Description
A wooden buckboard wheel with an iron rim rests against a post fence, and a rusting teal colored Skyrider Deluxe bicycle leans beside it.
My father told stories of his youth driving a team of horses, racing and wildly pulling a buckboard with wooden wheels such as this one.
And I recall more than one escapade of sneaking my older sisters bicycle, too big for me to even sit on the seat, and riding fearlessly standing on the pedals, screaming down Pettybone Hill.
My father and I shared the thrill of wheels, his with a wooden wheeled buckboard, mine with a Skyrider Deluxe.
The photograph has been finished with a strong Hopper canvas texture. This artwork is perfect for home decor, office furnishings, or as a gift of reminiscing.
